John the Baptist - paving the way

We started last week with the story of John by focusing on his parents and their unlikely journey. Let's continue this week with John, the man. John himself was unique, but the thought I am having is, why were so many attracted to him? What was so special about him that followers would abandon their beliefs to listen to him?

We live in a confusing world. Sometimes we don't know what to believe, what to follow, who to listen to. Everything pulls us for it's own attention. We need peace, calm, direction.

Our scripture this week will be continuing what we used last week, the focus will be:

Preaching and Baptism: (Matthew 3:1-12).

Forerunner of Jesus: (John 1:29-34).

Baptism of Jesus: (Matthew 3:13-17).

By the way, if you didn't see the eagle today ask Todd about it tomorrow. He has the details, it was quiet a site!

See you tomorrow!
