Great things

Have you looked at the world lately? Our first thought might be "how bad this place is". However, it's actually pretty amazing if you really consider it. While I know we have all been thru things that perhaps we'd be happy to forget, for the most part, things are pretty good. We can click our phones and a delivery truck shows up at our door. We can deposit a check by taking a picture of it with our phone and not drive to the bank. We can drive thru and pick up coffee without ever leaving our car. We don't have to raise our food, cut firewood to stay warm or search for a place to stay dry when it's raining. The weatherman will be on TV 24/7 telling me what to expect tomorrow. All in all, these things are great ... but ...they can make us a little complacent. Just to continue the theme here, I just asked Amy "what does complacent mean" to make sure I was using the word correctly. She promptly replied "Google it" (with a slightly elevated tone I might add). We don't even have to get up and find a dictionary any more!

I wonder if Paul was complacent? He seems to never have been. How is that possible? How can we emulate that? Last week I wanted to figure out how he stayed focused considering his past. This week let's continue the discussion. I'd like to discuss at least two topics, the "thorn" in his side and his time in prison.

See you tomorrow (and hopefully tonight).
