Focus

Are you good at "any one thing"? Many times I think I am, but then I look around at all the unfinished projects I have, many from years ago, and I wonder if I actually am really good at anything. It seems harder and harder to stay focused on just one thing anymore. Look at this post, it's after 5 pm on the Saturday before I am to teach something and I'm just now starting to focus on it! Our world has so many pulls, tugs, reminders of past failures that it's harder than ever to stay on track. Am I really doing that which Christ called me to do?
I was reading about Paul and all that he overcame for his ministry. He is arguably second only to Christ in his influence to mankind. He wrote only about 80 pages. (Trivia question, how many did Jesus himself write that we know of?) Paul's life seems to be constant turmoil right from the first introduction, to his ministries, to his time in prison. I wonder, how did he stay focused?
Let's discuss a little of Saul's/Paul's life and maybe focus on just a few pieces:
Stephen (Acts 7)
Conversion (Acts 9)
Something ironic (Acts 14)
And how sometimes we need to "forget" so that we can stay on focus (Matt 16:23)
See you tomorrow!
