The Final Plague

When we started this recent study in Exodus, I initially read through all the plagues. As the weeks have passed I have read them again several times. Each time I think "who am I in these stories?" This week we will discuss the tenth plague and I can't help but notice how similar to Pharaoh I am (and I think most of us are). Not so much who he is, but more his stubbornness, reluctance, give a little but still try to stay in control see CH 11 v 24-26 after the darkness.

As you read through Exodus CH 11-12 recall the previous nine plagues and what their significance was, how they became increasingly more difficult, how Pharaoh seems to change then doesn't. After the tenth plague the Passover becomes one of the main tenets of the Hebrew religions. Symbolically, it is the foundation of all what we believe.

Just a little trivia, I noticed something in a verse that I have never paid attention to. I don't think I've ever read a devotional on it or heard it used in a sermon. Not even once. If your curious look up Ex 12:38.

See ya tomorrow!
