I am the bread of life

John 6:35 is no doubt one of the most quoted verses in the entirety of scripture. "And Jesus said unto them, I am the bread of life: he that cometh to me shall never hunger; and he that believeth on me shall never thirst." It really breaks down the essentials of what we need, bread and water. And we need it both physically and spiritually.
Joseph has just been placed second in charge only below Pharaoh (Gen 41:37-40). His goal is to save the people from starving. God had warned through Pharaoh's dream what was coming, and the time to prepare was now. Far in advance of the lean times. When the famine hit was seven years of extremely hard times. But, these hard times brought the Joseph's family back together, and to a land of plenty.
I just listened to the song "We are the world" from 1985. It was smash hit selling over 20 million singles. The cause, hunger (here is a Wix link if you need a refresher: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/We_Are_the_World). Pretty much every artist from the time took part. I enjoy the contrasting voices of the song but it's the message of the song that hits home.
As I think about the effect of what Joseph accomplished (because of all the trials he had been through) I wonder, what seeds are we planting? During our spiritual "plenty" and we saving and investing for the certain famines that may come?
We'll dig into Gen 41, 42, and 43 this week so grab a cup of coffee and review these for tomorrow.
Don't be late! There is a good devotional planned!!
