But, do you really trust me?

Have you ever done that "trust fall"? It's where you stand with someone directly behind you, you can't see them, and then you fall straight back without bending your knees or back at all. The idea is that you completely trust them to catch you before you hit the ground. Here's the thing, even if you completely trust the person, for just a split second there is this uncertainty that will go thru your mind.
Last week we discussed how Abram left the place God had sent him to when the drought hit. A perfectly dad-like thing to do, "I gotta protect my family". And that sometimes is the rub, "I", not "trust God because he just spoke this promise to me". Again, God reassures Abram and we see that in Gen 13-14 there are so many blessings that Abram and Lot part company. Genesis 15 is once again God showing Abram "I'm here for you and I'm really serious about this".
This week, let's focus on Genesis 16 (read 13-15 to lay the foundation) and see how the story of Abram, Sarai, Hagar and Ishmael unfolds. Keep that question in mind as you study, "but do you really trust me"?
