Babel

What a blessing to see everyone out last week! So many smiling faces.

This week we'll dig into after the flood. And yes, you know what happens .. God has a plan .. man needs grace! We'll be looking at chapters 9 thru 11, maybe get into 12 so grab a coffee, sit out in these cool evening and see where it leads you.

As Noah and his family start their new life in a new world we'll get a little background on their family tree, problems right out of the gate, and then look a little at the tower of Babel and why it's so important to our lives. I love 10:9! You can't read it without a giggle but there is some pretty deep meaning hidden in here. Think about the implication of Genesis 11:3 and maybe how all this new technology that keeps popping up every few weeks is affecting our relationships with both God and each other. I also love the contrast between 11:4 and 12:2 as we get introduced to Abram. This is an important chapter as we move somewhat from the "old world" poetic style of writing to the patriarch period of the Bible.
