Are you sure this is part of the plan ??

Do you ever look up and think "Is this part of the plan?" Ever wonder if the grass will be greener, the waves a little smoother, the plan a little clearer? As I'm writing this (yes .. last minute ... again) the Bradford pear trees are white, the buttercups are yellow, a little green is showing in the fields. But it was only a few weeks ago I had water flowing from a pipe that had frozen and cracked when it thawed. We had days and days of freezing weather. All the while I know that these things will happen, I just don't always see light at the end of the tunnel.

Joseph was 17. Almost killed by his brothers. Rejected and sold by them. Imprisoned. Abandoned. Alone. Then, that same "dreamer" that had his life derailed understood why. God used the very thing that Joseph had to imagine was his greatest weakness to be his biggest strength. Not only was his life saved, so was all in Egypt, the region nearby, even his family. Let's keep going in Genesis 39 - 44. I love 39:2.

It took 13 years for this to happen, then 7 good, then 7 lean. Now that's a foundation God can build on!
